Letts

Letts

Letts is the solo moniker of London-born songwriter, painter, and sculptor Christian Letts. Best known as the lead guitarist for the indie-folk collective Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Letts has spent years touring the world and contributing to the band's anthemic, community-driven sound. His transition into a solo artist allowed him to return to his English roots, trading the non-stop road life for a quieter period of creation in the countryside to focus on his own songwriting and visual art.

His debut solo release on Community Music, Hold Fast, was born out of this reflective period. Produced by longtime friend Marcus Mumford, the album is a bucolic collection of indie-folk songs that mirror the tranquil imagery of the sea and sky. Featuring Christian’s own watercolor paintings as the cover art, Hold Fast serves as an intimate introduction to Letts as a multi-disciplinary artist, blending his visual and musical worlds into a singular, grounded narrative.
